Man Arrested for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK22061504
Yesterday at 12:40 p.m., police responded to a suspicious person call on Wellington St. in Chatham. Upon arrival, police located the man. He was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
The 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was lodged until he was sober.
Suspicious Person Call – CK22061533
Yesterday at 4:08 p.m. yesterday police responded to a suspicious person call on St. Clair St. in Chatham. Multiple calls were received, describing a man walking on St. Clair Street wearing a mask and a carrying a home made spear strapped to their back. The suspect was located, and it was determined that they were on conditions not to possess any weapon. The suspect was arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, and later released from custody with a future court date of February 6, 2023.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK23000047
Today at 4:10 a.m. emergency crews responded to Dawn Mills Road a single motor vehicle collision.
The driver, a 23-year-old man from Dresden was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for minor injuries. The responding officer believed the man to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested him.
The driver has been charged with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and operation while impaired – alcohol. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of January 16, 2023.
