The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 157 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 27 of those calls were from hang-up 911 calls. Three people were arrested.
Males turns themselves in for theft after seeing images on social media – CK16026491
On August 12 and again on August 13, 2016, two males attended a business on Queen Street in Chatham and stole a number trading cards. Through investigation Police obtained surveillance images of the male suspects and distributed them through social media. The male suspects later observed their photos on social media in regards to this investigation.
On August 17, 2016, one of the males attended Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and turned himself in. Yesterday, the other male party involved also attended Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and turned himself in. As a result, a 24 year old Chatham man has been charged with three counts of theft under $5000 and three counts of possession of stolen property under $5000; and a 22 year old London man has been charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000. Both males have been released with future court dates.
The stolen trading cards, valued at approximately $550, were able to be recovered.
Break and Enter – CK16028810
Sometime overnight between August 31 and September 01, 2016, unknown suspects forced their way into several buildings at an address on River Line. Stolen were a large quantity of power tools with an estimated value of $13,500.

Theft of E-Bike – CK16028844
Sometime overnight between August 31 and September 01, 2016, unknown suspects stole an e-bike from a residence on Barthe Street in Chatham. It is described as an orange coloured Geo brand E-bike, valued at approximately $500.
