I started playing hockey at a young age and quickly fell in love with the sport that would become a large part of my life. For almost 40 years I have been either a player, a referee, and now a coach.
Once upon a time I would have told you my greatest successes in hockey were as a referee, where I was fortunate to officiate at a high level. Now my daughters both play, and I’m fascinated with watching them learn about the game. I cherish the time we spend together driving to games, on the ice at practices, and behind the bench. My wife Crystal and I love watching them play.
Hockey has taught me valuable life lessons about adversity, perseverance, and commitment. I hope my daughters learn similar life lessons along their journey.
I’m thankful to be part of such a great community in Chatham-Kent.
