The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 125 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested, and one was on an outstanding warrant.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK22053400
At 10:23 a.m., police responded to McNaughton Avenue West for suspicious activity behind a building.
Police arrived and located the man. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 32-year-old Chatham-Kent Man was arrested and released with a future court date of November 28, 2022.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK22053452
At 5:55 p.m., police responded to a multi-motor vehicle collision on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers believed the man was driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
Chad Mills, 44 years of Chatham, has been charged with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of November 28, 2022.
Police are Looking for the Public’s Assistance – RECOVERED
On November 12, 2022, between 12:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., a blue 2012 Hyundai Accent was stolen from an Albert Street home in Wallaceburg.
The vehicle was last seen bearing Ontario license plate #CJYJ746.
