Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK22059129
At 8:40 a.m., police located the man on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
Police confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 52-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with a new court date.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK22059178
At 1:49 p.m., police located the man on Riverview Drive in Chatham. He was arrested and charged with failing to attend court related to a theft investigation.
The 37-year-old Chatham man was released with a new court date.
Man Arrested for Fraud CK22059250
At 9:14 p.m. Chatham Ontario Provincial Police advised they had the man in custody that was wanted on two outstanding warrants held by CKPS.
The 41-year-old Highgate man was charged with criminal harassment, fraud, possessing stolen property and unauthorized use of a credit card. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of January 9, 2023.
Man Arrested for Obstructing Police CK22059285
On December 22, 2022 at 5:28 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at the Holiday Inn in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned the man attended the hotel and threatened a staff member with a knife. The man left before the police arrived but was located a short distance away.
Upon arrest, the man verbally identified himself with a false name.
The 25-year-old Chatham man was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats and obstructing police. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
