Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK23000771
At 12:30 p.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft and possession of stolen property related to a theft investigation on Victoria Road in Howard Township on March 5, 2022. He was also wanted for failing to attend court.
The 37-year-old Thamesville man was arrested and was released with a new court date of January 30, 2023.
Two men Arrested on Outstanding OPP Warrants CK23000773/785
At 1:01 p.m., one man was located by an officer on Murray Street in Wallaceburg. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police.
The 48-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and turned over to the Walpole Island Police.
At 1:49 p.m., the other man was located on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police.
The 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and turned over to the Walpole Island Police.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK23000803
At 3:06 p.m., police located the man on Murray Street in Chatham while investigating another matter.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 46-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was released with a new court date of January 30, 2023.
Man Arrested for Assault CK23000863
On January 5, 2023, at 10:03 a.m. police received a complaint of assault between neighbours on Talbot Street West in Blenheim.
Through investigation, police learned the woman and the man engaged in a verbal argument. The argument escalated when the man struck the woman in the face.
At 10:26 p.m., police located the man and arrested him.
The 49-year-old Blenheim man was charged with assault. He was transported to headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of January 30, 2023.
Traffic Enforcement
Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit conducted traffic enforcement on Grand River Line in Dover Township. Within 90 minutes, officers issued six speeding tickets and one seatbelt ticket.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service reminds motorists to obey the speed limit. Speed is a significant factor in collisions with serious and fatal injuries, and road safety is everyone’s responsibility.
