Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop

On 2023-02-10 while on general patrol; a member of the Chatham-Kent Police located an Audi being operated on a roadway. The vehicle’s license plates were checked and found to be stolen. A traffic stop identified the driver as a 30 year old Chatham man. He was arrested for possession of stolen property and for driving while prohibited. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days and he was released with a future court date.

On 2023-02-10 members of the Chatham-Kent Police were investigating a criminal matter in Chatham. While investigating that matter, Police located a 28 year old man with an outstanding warrant for breaching his probation order. He was arrested and released with a future court date.
Tilbury Man Arrested Following Traffic Investigation

On 2023-02-06 a 51 year old Tilbury man contacted Police to advise his pickup truck had been stolen. This vehicle had been involved in a fail to remain collision in Tilbury. Through investigation it was determined the man had been lying about the stolen vehicle and it is alleged he fabricated the stolen vehicle complaint to avoid arrest. On 2023-02-10 the Tilbury man was arrested for Public Mischief, Fail to Remain at a Collision and Careless Driving. He was released with a future court date.
