Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault

On June 3rd, 2017 a 37 year old Chatham man was admitted to Public General Hospital with serious facial injuries after being assaulted. Police arrived and determined the man had been assaulted by another male using a large blunt object; the assault took place at approximately 0500hrs in the city of Chatham. Witnesses were able to identify the suspect and a 32 year old Chatham man was arrested for Aggravated Assault and held pending a bail hearing. The victim was transported to London due to the serious nature of his injuries.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving

On June 4th, 2017 at approximately 0300hrs a 25 year old Chatham man attended the McDonalds Drive-Thru on St. Clair St. Chatham. After placing his order and before arriving to the order window the man fell asleep. McDonald’s staff checked on his well-being fearing a medical issue and called 911. On Police arrival the man was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. On submitting to a breath test the man was further charged with Drive Over 80mg of Alcohol in Blood. He was released from custody when sober with a future court date.
Woman Arrested for Domestic Assault and Mischief

On June 3rd, 2017 at approximately 0700 a 26 year old woman returned to her residence where her common-law 32 year old male partner and his 10 year old son resided. An argument took place and the 26 year old woman assaulted her male partner breaking his eye glasses. The incident was reported to police later that day and a warrant for the woman’s arrest is being sought by police.
