Man Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence Offences CK22058993
At 11:17 a.m., police responded to Scane Street in Chatham for a domestic disturbance.
Through investigation, police learned the man had struck the woman in the head. She did not sustain any physical injury.
The 70-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault. He was transported to police headquarter and released with conditions and a future court date of January 30, 2023.
Man arrested for Obstructing Police CK22059005
At 12:11 p.m., police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Chatham Street North in Blenheim. The vehicle did not stop but continued to drive away. The officers tried to block the vehicle, but it reversed, nearly striking a cruiser, and drove off. The driver stopped a short distance away and attempted to flee on foot. The officers followed and caught up to the man.
Upon arrest, the man provided an incorrect name. He also had a suspended driver’s license and was wanted on outstanding warrants held by other police services.
The 24-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, obstructing police and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

At 12:30, the woman attended the front desk and turned herself in to the police.
The 26-year-old Chatham woman was wanted for fraud, theft, and possession of stolen property.
She was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Threats and Assault CK22059047
At 3:52 p.m., police attended Talbot Street West for a disturbance.
Through investigation, police learned the man and his landlord engaged in a dispute. The altercation escalated when the man threatened to cause harm and spit in the landlord’s face.
The 48-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with uttering threats and assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of February 6, 2023.
