The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 216 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested, and four were on outstanding warrants.
Woman Arrested for Bail Violations CK23007794
On March 9, 2022, the woman entered a peace bond with a condition to pay restitution to the other peace bond participant by a specified date.
The woman failed to comply with the condition and was afforded further opportunities to comply with the order.
On February 14, 2023, the woman was advised she was charged with failing to comply with a recognizance and that a warrant would be issued for her arrest.
On February 15, 2023, at 8:31 a.m., the 40-year-old Chatham woman attended police headquarters and turned herself in to the police. She was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a recognizance. She was released with conditions and a future court date of March 20, 2023.
Woman Arrested for Assault CK23007927
On November 6, 2022, police investigated an assault complaint in Wallaceburg. As a result the woman was arrested, charged with assault and released with conditions and a court date.
When the woman failed to attend her court date, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On February 15, 2023, at 6:54 p.m., police located the woman while conducting a traffic stop on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. The outstanding warrant was confirmed and she was arrested.
The 52-year-old Wallaceburg woman was released with a new court date.
Police are Looking for the Public’s Assistance CK23007439
The Chatham-Kent Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this woman in an assault investigation that occurred on February 13, 2023, at approximately 8:29 a.m. at Home Hardware on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
The suspect is described as a white female, approximately 5’6”, wearing a dark blue vest, a long-sleeve grey top, sunglasses, grey pants, black shoes with white soles, and a bright orange satchel cross bag.
