The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 101 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested, and three were on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample CK22054526
At 10:33 p.m., police responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Gregory Drive East in Chatham.
The collision involved three vehicles and a trailer. No injuries were reported, and damages were estimated at $20 000.
A 52-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing/refusing to provide a breath sample. He was released with a future court date.
Man and Woman Arrested for Bail Violations CK22054531
At 11:45 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Sandys Street in Chatham.
On arrival, police located the man and the woman inside the home.
Through investigation, police had grounds to believe the woman had assaulted the man. The woman identified herself to the police with a false name. Police also learned the courts released both on July 23, 2022, with the condition of not communicating with each other. Both were arrested.
The 27-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking. The 33-year-old Chatham woman was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, obstructing police, and assault. The man and the woman were both transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Police are Looking for the Public’s Assistance CK22054184
On November 18, 2022, at 11:17 a.m., police responded to a vehicle collision on Longwoods Road in Chatham Township involving two vehicles.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
