District 3
District 3 is divided into three patrol areas encompassing the communities of Tilbury, Wheatley, Merlin, North Buxton, South Buxton, Port Alma, and Fletcher. The area extends from the Thames River south to Lake Erie and from Tilbury East to Four Rod Road.
District 301 is the central area in District 3 and includes Tilbury to Goodreau Line east to Oak road and to the Thames river.
District 302 includes Oak road east to Four Rod Road and from the Thames river to Middle Line and from Merlin line south to Lake Erie. This area includes the communities of Merlin, North Buxton, South Buxton, Port Alma, and Fletcher.
District 303 includes Middle Line south to Lake Erie and Wheatley Road to Merlin Line. Which includes the community of Wheatley.
There are 12 officers assigned to District 3 and deployment is strategic and based on community needs and objectives.
District 3 encompasses the towns of Tilbury, Wheatley and Merlin. and several small hamlets in between. This district covers the south western boundary of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, and services an estimated 18,000 residents.
There are currently four active “Concerned Citizens” and Neighbourhood Watch groups in this district.
The District 3 Police Service Centre is located in Tilbury at the Municipal office and also has a satellite office at the Wheatley Arena. Citizens are encouraged to visit this website to see what is happening in their neighbourhood.
