The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 160 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested.
CK22058403 – Break and Enter
On December 16th, a 25 year old Wallaceburg woman was observed breaking into a unit on Murray St., Wallaceburg. Police attended and located the woman inside the apartment. Police learned this was the same woman that broke into the apartment yesterday. As a result the female was arrested and brought to CKPS headquarters and held for bail.
CK22058407 – Stolen Vehicle
On December 16th at approximately 9:30am police were called to a stolen vehicle in the area of Baxter St., Chatham. Police learned that the owner of the vehicle left the 2009 white ford focus unattended to warm up in the driveway. While the vehicle was warming up an unknown suspect stole the car. CK22058445 – Theft
On December 16th police were called to a business on St. Clair St., Chatham, in response to a theft complaint. Police attended and located a 48 year old with a cart full of unpaid items. Police arrested the man, charged him, and released him with a future court date.

On December 16th, Police investigated 3 separate, unrelated break and enters in the municipality. Residents are reminded to lock their doors and report suspicious activity.
